Tour
eBike and ferry route along the Rhine - from Bad Hönningen to Bonn and back
The route starts on the right bank of the Rhine in the heart of Bad Hönningen. From there it goes to Linz am Rhein. From there, take the car ferry to Remagen/Kripp. In Remagen is the Peace Museum in the bridgehead of the former 'Remagen Bridge'. A look at the other side of the Rhine is also worthwhile. Behind a black hole in the middle of the Erpeler Ley lies a mining tunnel system.
After a few kilometers, Rolandseck is reached. The Arp Museum and also the forest and wildlife park are worth a visit. The Drachenfels castle ruin rises on the other side of the Rhine. Here Siegfried is said to have defeated the dragon living there in the Nibelung saga.
Upon arrival in Bonn, cross the Kennedy Bridge back to the right Rhine bank. Via Königswinter, Bad Honnef, Unkel, Erpel and Linz am Rhein, it goes back to Bad Hönningen.
The route is quite long at 68 kilometers, but it is fairly flat and only on asphalt.
