Rhine Cycle Route/Romantic Rhine (left side)
Always follow the cycle route signposts (white signs with green lettering) with the official blue route logo of the Rhine Cycle Route-EuroVelo15, which is displayed there as an additional plaque.
The Rhine Cycle Route leads through a unique cultural landscape characterised by steep vineyards, more than 60 castles and palaces and medieval towns.

The route in the cycle path network: The Rhine Cycle Route is one of 7 long-distance cycle paths in Rhineland-Palatinate and is part of the Route No. 8 in the D-Net. It is one of the most eminent European long-distance cycle routes and follows the Rhine from its source in the Swiss Alps through France, Germany and to its outlet in the Dutch Sea. The Rhine Cycle Route connects to several other cycle paths in Rhineland-Palatinate, Baden-Wuerttemberg and Hesse.
The Rhine Cycle Route-EuroVelo 15 follows the Rhine from its source to its outlet for around 1,450 km through six countries. It was the first long-distance cycle route which was certified through the European Cyclist’s Federation (ECF). It is consistently and throughout signed with the EuroVelo 15 signet.
