Tour
Bike and ferry route Bad Breisig - Siebengebirge
The starting point is the Tourist Information Bad Breisig. Then you go on the left Rhine side on the Rheinradweg to Rolandseck. There, the Rhine is crossed by a ferry and then it goes right Rhine side back to Bad Hönningen. Finally, the ferry is used again here to get back to Bad Breisig.
From Bad Breisig, follow the Rheinradweg towards Bonn to Rolandseck. The Rheinradweg runs along the Rheinpromenade in Bad Breisig, always directly by the Rhine. You cross the Ahr estuary into the Rhine via a small bridge and then the small village of Kripp. After a few kilometers, you reach the town of Remagen. Here, too, the cycle path runs along the Rheinpromenade. Then the Remagen district Oberwinter is passed through until finally Rolandseck with the Arp Museum is reached. In Rolandseck, the Rhine is crossed by a small ferry to Bad Honnef. From here, the Rheinradweg leads on the right Rhine bank towards Koblenz. On this Rhine side, you pass through various towns and therefore do not always cycle directly along the Rhine bank. The picturesque towns Unkel and Erpel are cycled through on the signposted Rheinradweg. Now you arrive at Linz, a colorful little town on the Rhine, which with its historic old town is worth a visit. From Linz, you continue directly on the Rheinradweg back to Bad Hönningen. At the southern edge of town, near Limesturm No.1, you take the ferry again to Bad Breisig. The Rheinpromenade in Bad Breisig invites you to linger with its diverse gastronomic offerings at the end.
