On one of the king stages, you will experience sensational views of the valley, the course of the Ahr river, and the surrounding villages. Rocks and castles, water and wine have shaped the region along the Middle Ahr. All wine towns are directly connected to the route. There, cozy wine taverns, rustic seasonal wine taverns, famous cooperatives, and a diverse gastronomy await the hikers.

The Red Wine Trail leads through the middle of the vineyard terraces of the Ahr Valley.

The Ahrtalweg (A) leads along shady paths, through partly untouched nature, directly along the Ahr. The Ahrtalweg is recommended as a return route and thus offers the possibility of a multi-faceted circular hike.
