Milky Way Path in the hiking paradise Sahrbach Valley from Burgsahr

The Milky Way Path (red telescope logo) and the Galaxy Path (blue telescope logo) connect one of the main attractions of the region - the world's second largest radio telescope at Effelsberg - to the hiking network “Hiking Paradise Sahrbach Valley”. Information boards along the path accompany the “universe hiker” on their journey through the cosmos.

The Milky Way Trail (red telescope logo) and the Galaxy Trail (blue telescope logo) incorporate one of the region's main attractions - the world's second largest radio telescope at Effelsberg - into the "Sahrbachtal Hiking Paradise" network of trails. Information boards along the way accompany the "space hiker" on their journey through the universe.

The Milky Way Path leads over a distance of 4.5 km from Kirchsahr/Burgsahr to the Effelsberg Radio Telescope. The path is varied with information boards and runs over trails, forest paths, and partly along the babbling Holzemer Creek to the west.
