Radarena am Ring: Start in Insul, Road bike route 2
The cycle path network of the Radarena am Ring and many quiet roads in beautiful landscapes offer great opportunities for cyclists of all kinds. Flat routes through river valleys and former railway tracks contrast with the hilly low mountain landscape. Extreme climbs are offered by the area around the Nürburgring and the Hohe Acht.
From the starting point in Insul, it initially climbs steeply to the elevated town of Sierscheid. The Schweissberg lives up to its name over a length of 4.56 km. The route impresses with the special charm of the Ahr river valley and the heights of the Ahrgebirge with breathtaking panoramic views.
Over a total route length of 64.7 km, 1180 m of elevation gain are covered. The altitude difference is 317 m. The route is classified as "medium" difficulty.
