Radarena am Ring: Start in Adenau, Road bike route 3

The network of bike paths in the Radarena am Ring and many quiet roads in beautiful countryside offer cyclists of all kinds great opportunities. Flat sections through river valleys and on former railway lines contrast with the hilly low mountain landscape. Extreme climbs are offered around the Nürburgring and the Hohe Acht.

From the starting point in Adenau, the route first goes slightly downhill into the middle Ahr valley to Insul, then steadily uphill over the so-called "Schweissberg" to the high-altitude village of Sierscheid. The route impresses with the special charm of the Ahr river valley and the ridges of the Ahr mountains with wonderful panoramic views. Over a total distance of 96.8 km, a remarkable 1,547 m of altitude gain is covered. The elevation difference is 543 m.

The route is classified as "difficult."
