Wanderweg
Over the Landskrone into the Ahr valley
In front of the station building, orient yourself to the left on the Rhine Heights Connecting Trail (RV) and go under the railway line to reach the higher Apollinaris Church. Turn left onto the Rhine Heights Trail (R), cross Birresdorfer Street and go uphill past an animal shelter. Follow the (R) to the left and reach Kapellenhof.
The Rhine Heights Trail (R) first takes you over the Ahr plateau past a forest nature trail and a Jewish cemetery, then downhill past the church to the center of Bad Bodendorf towards the station. 100 m before Bad Bodendorf station, you encounter the Red Wine Hiking Trail. Here you turn right, going uphill over Heerweg, pass the Lohrsdorf orchid meadow and circle around the Lohrsdorf Kopf. At a wooden cross, leave the Red Wine Hiking Trail and walk straight ahead for about 500 m to the A2 hiking trail, which you follow. Behind the golf course and Köhlerhof, turn left towards Landskronehof and there turn onto the East Eifel Trail HWW 1 of the Eifel Club (marked) in the direction of Bad Neuenahr. Now you ascend to the Landskrone, which is at 270 m elevation.
After the descent, walk back about 250 m on the same path, then turn left and go downhill past the Maria-Hilf Chapel to Lehrer-Jung-Platz. Then pass through Heppingen and reach the Ahr. Before the Ahr, turn right under the A 61 and follow the path over the Schwanenteich bridge into the Kaiser Wilhelm Park and further to the Landgrafen bridge, from where you reach the station about 350 m away via Landgrafenstrasse. Alternatively, continue to follow the arrows that lead you past the casino and the Steigenberger Hotel over the Kurgarten bridge. From there, you reach Bad Neuenahr station through the pedestrian zone (total distance approx. 1.5 km).
