Stage on the Ahr cycle path: From the Ahr source in Blankenheim to Ahrbrück

The landscape of this stage of the Ahr cycle path presents itself as diverse and original: meadows alternate with forests, deep valley cuts follow flat sections, and inviting towns with a wide range of regional delights await along the way.
Striking natural monuments such as the Aremberg or the Prümer Tower contribute to the impressive natural experience in the idyllic Upper Ahr Valley. The valley widens at the Middle Ahr, and the Ahr cycle path invites you to relaxed cycling up to Ahrbrück.

A colorful mixed leisure program along the route, such as a visit to the Eifalia Butterfly Park in Ahrhütte, a relaxing break at the Müsch Inclusion Garden, a stop with interesting mining history at the Goldloch near Insul, and numerous playgrounds provide welcome variety, not just for families.

From the medieval town center of Blankenheim, you cycle on the old railway track through the High Fens Nature Park to Ahrdorf. From Ahrdorf to Fuchshofen, you cycle almost without inclines on the paved cycle path. From Fuchshofen to Schuld, the L73 must be used. In Schuld, the Ahr cycle path leads through a tunnel and past the Prümer Tower. Up to Ahrbrück, the path runs along meadows and forests almost always within sight of the course of the Ahr river.

From the medieval town centre of Blankenheim, you cycle along the old railway line through the High Fens Nature Park to Ahrdorf. From Ahrdorf to Fuchshofen, you cycle along the tarmac cycle path with almost no inclines. From Fuchshofen to Schuld, the L73 must be used. In Schuld, the Ahr cycle path leads through a tunnel and past the Prümer Tour. As far as Ahrbrück, the route leads along meadows and forests almost always within sight of the course of the River Ahr.
