Radarena am Ring: Start in Rodder, road bike route 2
The cycle network of the Radarena am Ring and many quiet roads in beautiful countryside offer great opportunities for cyclists of all kinds. Flat routes through river valleys and on former railway lines contrast with the hilly low mountain landscape. The area around the Nürburgring and the Hohe Acht offers extreme inclines. Starting in Rodder, the route initially goes steadily downhill into the Ahr valley to Antweiler, then climbs steeply again towards the elevated village of Aremberg. The route impresses with the special charm of the wild romantic Hocheifel region with breathtaking panoramic views.
The total route length is 58.9 km, with an elevation gain of 1086 m. The altitude difference is 330 m.
The route is rated as "medium" difficulty.
Other routes in the Radarena am Ring are possible from the start point Rodder:
- Road bike route 1: length 27.4 km, difficulty level easy
- Road bike route 3: length 93.1 km, difficulty level hard
