The hike begins at the parking lot at the idyllic chapel St. Agatha. From here you have a fascinating view of the three large juniper-rich limestone slopes that frame the village of Alendorf. The path leads from the chapel over to the Eierberg. From the edge of the path, you can discover the abundance of plant and animal species native to the limestone slopes. From spring through autumn, new species bloom repeatedly, such as pasqueflower, primrose, orchids, and gentians. Many colorful butterflies, such as blues and burnets, can be observed feeding on nectar on the blossoms. The route continues through grassland, fields, and small woods towards the Wammesbach valley. From here, you reach the extensive beech forests of the Alendorf Busch. These forests are especially valuable for nature. Since parts are unmanaged, there is a lot of old and deadwood available. This serves as a habitat for woodpeckers, bats, and other animals. In the shade of the old beech forests, you continue hiking towards the Lamperts valley. After leaving the forest, follow the path to Alendorf to the Calvary hill. There, you ascend the juniper slope to the summit, which offers an incomparable 360-degree panoramic view over the Alendorf limestone slopes. Along the stations of the cross, you descend the slope again and reach the starting point after a few meters.

These forests are particularly valuable for nature. As parts of it are not managed, there is a lot of old and dead wood here. This serves as a habitat for woodpeckers, bats and other animals. In the shade of the old beech forests, you continue in the direction of Lampertstal. After leaving the forest, follow the path to Alendorf and the Kalvarienberg. There you climb up the juniper slope to the summit, which offers an unrivalled 360-degree panoramic view over the Alendorf limestone drifts. Along the Stations of the Cross, you descend the slope again and reach the starting point after a few metres.
