EifelSchleife Vun drinne noh drusse (Municipality of Blankenheim)

The nearly 13-kilometer-long hike leads you through the Hohes Venn Nature Park and Vulkaneifel Nature Park. Passing numerous wide fields and dense forests, you will enjoy stunning views over the Eifel natural landscapes. With the chirping of crickets, you can enjoy the scent of nature and its tranquility.

On the hike, you will also encounter many animals such as cows and sheep found on the numerous pastures.

The name of the hiking trail "Vun drinne noh drusse" (Colognian for "From inside to outside") is inspired by the eponymous album of the Kölsche band BAP, which was released in 1982. The band's album, with lead singer Wolfgang Niedecken, was rehearsed back then at the old Ahrdorf train station and remains the band’s most successful album today. The album cover photo shows a night shot of the freight hall of the former station in Ahrdorf.

From the starting point of the hike, leave Ahrdorf northwestwards via Schönebergerstraße. After about 1.5 kilometers across wide meadows and pastures, you will reach the village of Uedelhoven via the street "Auf der Held." At the T-junction, turn left onto Kreuzstraße and follow the route along Üxheimer Straße. After about 400 meters, turn right onto "Alter Backofen" and leave the village heading west. Along the forest edge, the path zigzags over fields. After about four kilometers, you reach a farm which you pass and continue along the open landscape. Through the residential park near Ahrdorf, you reach, passing the Ahrdorf train station, back to your starting point of the hike.
