Grape path No. 2 - A short hike around Forstberg
In the center of the Ahr valley lies the town with two faces: Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler.
On one side a spa and health location (Bad Neuenahr), on the other side shaped by Roman times and viticulture (Ahrweiler). Surrounding the town are 15 circular hiking trails, five of which are set up as grape paths. The length of the trails ranges from 3.8 to 12.9 kilometers. The difficulty level ranges from easy to challenging, so there is a suitable hiking trail for every condition and mood.
"Under the pear tree": a short hike around Forstberg
This grape path hike is a small route, ideal for an evening walk when the vineyards are still bathed in sunlight. The view down into the Ahr valley accompanies you almost the entire way, where you can not only hike through the vineyard but also look over waving grain fields. Numerous benches are ready along the path to relax and enjoy the panoramic view.
The detailed route description with tips for places to eat, beautiful views, and elevation profiles can be found in the hiking book: "Around Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler. The 15 most beautiful hiking trails" from J.P. Bachem Verlag (ISBN 978-3-7616-2844-7).
