Circular route Bad Neuenahr No. 7 - Once around Heimersheim

Fields, meadows and an open view

The idyllic farmland with meadows and pastures and the expanse of the valley give this hike a very relaxed character. Drama in this picturesque landscape is provided by the summit of the Landskrone, which towers over the historic town of Heimersheim. And amidst the beautiful landscape, an extravagant piece of furniture with XXL dimensions awaits the tired hiker.

From the historic town center of Heimersheim, the route goes to the restored west gate from the 15th century and then on to the small chapel "Maria Schutz und Fürbitte." From here you can enjoy a great view of Heimersheim and the vineyards. On clear days, you can even see as far as the Siebengebirge. After the chapel, the route continues under the motorway past pastures and meadows to the XXL bench. This extraordinary seating invites you to take a short break with a fantastic view of Heimersheim and the Landskrone. Past the Hubertushütte, it initially goes to Ehlingen and then back to Heimersheim.

A detailed route description with tips on places to eat, beautiful views, and elevation profiles can be found in the hiking book: "Around Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler. The 15 most beautiful hiking trails" from J.P. Bachem Verlag (ISBN 978-3-7616-2844-7).
