Protestant Church of the Redeemer

Today's Evangelical Church of the Redeemer, inaugurated on April 26, 1914, followed a prayer room in the former Evangelical rectory. After the church congregation became independent in 1894, the construction of its own church was planned. The groundwork for the church was laid on June 6, 1913, with plans by the Berlin architect Franz Schwechten (Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church in Berlin, church in Mirbach/Eifel, Church of the Redeemer in Jerusalem).
