A weekend of indulgence in the Ahrweiler vineyards

Over the Ascension Day weekend from 6 to 9 May 2027, wine and walking enthusiasts can once again discover fine wines along the Ahrweiler mountain trails and enjoy the unique landscape of the Ahr Valley.

You can experience the AhrWeinWalk wine and walking event as part of a guided walk on Friday 7 May. The walk starts at Ahrweiler railway station. Here, an experienced hiking guide will welcome you and accompany you to the starting point of the AhrWeinWalk, where you’ll receive your starter pack. Together, you’ll hike through the Ahrweiler vineyards, taking in magnificent views of this red wine capital.

Look forward to three delightful wine stops at selected wine stands along the AhrWeinWalk route. At each of the three stands, you’ll enjoy a tasting of a selected glass of wine and learn interesting facts about the wines from the winemakers.

There will be plenty of breaks during the roughly 6-hour walk. You’ll have the chance to buy and enjoy additional food and drinks at the stalls as you wish.

At the end of the walk, the guide will accompany you back to Ahrweiler marketplace railway station. Upon your return, there’ll be time for a relaxing break at the hotel before a delicious three-course meal at a restaurant in Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler rounds off your day in the evening.
