Stroll past beautifully illuminated works of art, sample fine mulled wines from local vineyards and regional specialities, browse for a special gift or souvenir, listen to an atmospheric concert, lace up your skates for the ‘ ’ ice rink, or simply sit back and watch the festive hustle and bustle: From 4 December 2026 to 10 January 2027 , the ‘Uferlichter’ will transform the Bad Neuenahr spa gardens into a winter wonderland with their atmospherically decorated and illuminated wickerwork, where cuisine, art, concerts and culture come together.

Amidst the atmospheric light installations, rustic wooden huts and elegant pagoda tents, local restaurateurs and winemakers showcase a variety of fine food and drink. High-quality arts and crafts – from intricate olive wood carvings to handmade candles and unique Christmas baubles – invite visitors to browse and marvel.

 
Dates & Opening Times for the Uferlichter 2026/27


From 4 December 2026 to 10 January 2027 , the Uferlichter will once again be lit up from Friday to Sunday on the banks of the Ahr and around the Spa gardens.

Over the festive period, from 27 to 30 December, the Uferlichter will even be open every day.

Opening hours:

  • Fridays and Saturdays from 3 pm to 9 pm
  • Sundays and over the festive period from 2 pm to 9 pm
