Tag der offenen Kirche in Kirchsahr

On Sunday, 18 May, the Freundeskreis Sahrbachtal e.V., in cooperation with the parish of Kirchsahr, invites you to visit the parish church of St. Martin in Kirchsahr.

In the small and at first glance inconspicuous village church, there are many interesting facts to learn and extraordinary works of art to marvel at.

Start is at 9:30 am with a Holy Mass. Afterwards, the church will remain open until 17:00. Guided tours are scheduled at 11:00 am and 3:00 pm. Visitors will learn about more than 1000 years of local history and the art-historical significance of the church.

At 14:30 and following the 15:00 guided tour, church musician Markus Prange, who is well-known in the region, will round off the day with a performance on the historic organ.

Visitors can also travel to the church by public transport. Bus route 862 runs between Ahrbrück through the Sahrbachtal valley to Bad Münstereifel. The drop-off point would be the stop in Kirchsahr, Seeligenweg.
