When he was young, 60 was already old – really old. Today, people think: Tom Cruise, Campino, Jim Carrey and Roberto Capitoni are all over 60 already?

Countless daily offers, all of which end up in the spam folder, ranging from guaranteed weight loss and a cure for prostatitis to products for varicose veins — none of them are of any help to Roberto in this case. So what does one do now? Skin creams, or go straight for Botox?

But invitations to milestone birthdays are dwindling just as funerals are on the rise. What’s more, he’s just shy of qualifying for a discount on train journeys – which is rather an advantage for a half-Swabian – and the daily glance at the *Apotheken Umschau* or the provisional pension statement keeps him swinging back and forth between fits of laughter and despair.

But Roberto wouldn’t be Roberto if he didn’t have a few simple tricks up his sleeve in the blink of an eye to make himself look young again. Fancy an example? A bungee jump would never feature on Roberto’s bucket list – in German, a ‘Löffelliste’ – because he’d be afraid of kicking the bucket even during freefall. But why is it that, for the most part, the list tends to feature activities that are likely to cut your life short?
And as if all that weren’t enough, there’s his Uncle Luigi, who doesn’t always exactly come to his aid. Every now and then, he gets Roberto into some very absurd situations, in which, under certain circumstances, things might be over sooner than he’d like.

And as we all know, where there’s Capitoni, there’s Roberto.
