A weekend just like in the south
On 19 and 20 June,
the LebensKunstMarkt will take place in Remagen. Thanks to
its relaxed, holiday-like atmosphere, this ‘festival for the senses’ has become one of the most successful and largest
arts and crafts markets in Germany.
Almost 200 artists, craftspeople and artist groups from all
disciplines transform Remagen’s town centre into a vast urban gallery that
invites visitors to stroll, enjoy and get involved: art – presented in a
relaxed Mediterranean atmosphere. Alongside special exhibitions and events
in the galleries and organised by the town’s artist groups, the ‘ZeltGalerie
in the Historic Triangle’ – in which the Arp Museum Bahnhof Rolandseck
also participates – offers artistic highlights.
A special feature is the authentic Provençal market: traders from
southern France offer authentic delicacies such as cheese, sausages, olives,
lavender products and fabrics. The market opens as early as Friday afternoon
on Josefstraße and is a real crowd-puller.
The LebensKunstMarkt takes place in the pedestrian zone and throughout Remagen’s
town centre, whose squares and alleyways blend harmoniously with the
Rhine promenade. A weekend of open-shop sales complements the attractive
market atmosphere.
Enjoy a varied summer weekend in Remagen – with all your senses, just like in the south.
