Anyone who finds themselves unwittingly eavesdropping on conversations on the train, in their favourite pub or whilst randomly flicking through reality TV programmes, one inevitably wonders whether our society is getting dumber and dumber. These days, the content on TV is as shallow as the sets on which you can watch it. Yes, wit is brilliant. And perhaps even a bit more brilliant than it used to be.

At a time when self-appointed guardians of humour and morality decide what’s funny and what isn’t, Özgür Cebe takes on the headwind and sets out to discover the reason behind this oversensitivity.
