Pfarrkirche St. Nikolaus und St. Rochus
The parish church of St. Nicholas and St. Rochus is a striking landmark that characterises the townscape of Mayschoß. The building, designed by the Neuwied architects H. and Th. Herrmann, with its three-nave, four-and-a-half bay columned basilica in neo-Romanesque style, was built between 1908 and 1912. Inside, visitors can admire the tomb of Countess Katharina von der Mark made of black Belgian granite from 1645 and a 16th century baptismal font made of trachyte.
