Mayschosser Bahnhof

The historic railway station building in Mayschoß was built during the construction of the Ahr Valley Railway in the late 19th century and still lends the village a special charm today. Architecturally, it is characterised by the combination of natural stone and half-timbering, which gives the building its typical regional character. In the past, railway staff often lived and worked directly in the building. After being sold to private owners at the end of the 1990s, the building was used as a restaurant from 1998 and became a popular meeting place for guests and locals alike. The flood disaster in 2021 caused severe damage. However, even after its reopening in 2023, the building remains an important testimony to the railway history of the Ahr Valley and a place with a special charm.
