In 1921, the Lingen family settled in Teichstraße in the Hemmessen district and founded the winery there. The original building was carefully extended and modernised over the decades - always adapted to the needs of the family without losing its historical charm.

The estate's wines are closely linked to their origins and are considered authentic ambassadors of the Ahr. Each wine reflects the terroir of the region - characterised by steep slate slopes that require intensive manual work and special commitment. This care is reflected in the character of the wines: regardless of the sugar content, they always present themselves with clear, pronounced fruit and an unmistakable personality.

The mineral-rich slate soils lend the wines a distinctive herbal flavour and fruitiness.
