Following a tour of the Government Bunker Documentation Centre in Ahrweiler, Eveline Lemke, author of the book ‘Mit Sicherheit Ahrtal’, Heike Hollunder, the museum director of the documentation centre, and Gunnar Kreidl from the Fire and Disaster Protection Unit of the town of Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler, to a discussion.

Various concepts exist for ensuring civil protection, including the so-called ‘lighthouses’, which – unlike the bunker – are intended to be visible to everyone. Attendance at the tour is not compulsory, so participants may also choose to attend only the reading and discussion .
