De-Lassaulx-Hütte

Clemens de Lassaulx, Chief Forest Ranger in Adenau, has shaped the image of the Eifel. In his time, the now forest-rich Ahreifel was characterized by desolated areas. De Lassaulx is often referred to as the "Father of the Eifel Forest." He also introduced the principle of sustainability into the management of the Eifel forests. In his honor, a shelter for protection and hiking was named after him on Kirchberg near Adenau.

From the hut, there is a beautiful view down towards the Hocheifel town of Adenau.
