Weinmarkt der Ahr

Every year over the Whitsun weekend, from Friday to Monday, the market square in Ahrweiler takes centre stage with sparkling wines and wines from the Ahr region’s wineries and winegrowers’ co-operatives.

The wine market, also known as the Whitsun Wine Market, has been a firm fixture on the Ahr for years. This wine event captivates visitors with its unique charm, great music and entertainment in an exceptional atmosphere.

Tasting Pass:
With our Tasting Pass, you can choose one wine to sample from a selection of three at each of the wine stalls. The Tasting Passes can be redeemed daily until 7.00 pm at the winemakers’ stalls. The ticket (provided as a PDF file after purchase) can be exchanged for the ‘Genussbegleiter’ at the glass stall on the market square. The ticket price already includes the cost of the tasting wines, a glass and a VRM ticket.

Use of the ‘Genussbegleiter’ is not tied to any specific date, and the vouchers can be redeemed on any day. 

The VRM ticket is valid on one day of the event of your choice as a VRM travel pass for the outward & return journey on all buses and local trains within the Rhine-Moselle Transport Association in second class. The ticket is only valid after the date has been entered on the ticket.

The ‘Genussbegleiter’ is transferable. Unredeemed vouchers cannot be refunded. Cancellation and refunds after purchase are not permitted.
